Brooks is 20 months and I am just crazy about him! He is the cutest little toddler around!! It is fun to listen to him learn to talk and watch his personality grow!
He often requests for me to put on this Iron Man costume for him. He doesn't ask for me to put on him any of our other dress-ups, however. This one is really the only one that is "boyish." Funny to me that he already seems to know boy things from girl things.
He is a snuggler and it is my absolute favorite thing about him! He snuggles when he is tired, when he is sad, when he goes to bed, when he watches TV, and just because. It melts my heart every time and there is never a time I don't soak up all the snuggle time he gives me!
Taking a bite out of Hallie's peach. I love watching these two play together. Hallie seems to get on Brooks' nerves more than Brooks gets on Hallie's nerves.
I have these faux apples as a centerpiece on my dining room table. One day, while I was upstairs, Brooks decided to take a "bite" (sometimes multiple bites) out of every single one of the apples! Little terd!
He loves wearing daddy's "at" (hat)
He wasn't sleeping, he just thought this was a comfy place to lay his head for a bit. Haha!
Hallie was playing stamps and Brooks picked up the stamps, held them to his ears, and said "Ello," pretending they were phones. Haha!
This little terd can move the stools all by himself, climb the counter, and open cupboards.
**I had to call Poison Control on him this month. :( While I was upstairs, Hallie decided she wanted to get a Band-Aid out of the medicine cabinet, I think this is what attracted Brooks to this cabinet in the first place. Hallie unfortunately left the cabinet door open, and Brooks decided to climb up the counter and see what was inside. He grabbed the Ibuprofen bottle. The lid was not on properly and so the bottle opened with ease. Hallie came running up the stairs to me and said, "Mom, Brooks has some medicine." I ran downstairs and Brooks was on the floor with about 20 pills of Ibuprofen around him. The drool on his face was pink-tinged so I know he at least tasted some of the pills but I wasn't sure if he ingested any.
I asked Hallie how many pills she thinks he had in his hand and she said "One...maybe a few??" So, I called Poison Control. Luckily, Ibuprofen is a fairly "safe" medicine for kids to take and the guy I talked to said he would need to ingest like 15 pills or something before they would be worried enough to have him seen. I was quite confident he didn't do that so we watched him the rest of the day from home. No diarrhea or side effects evident and he acted normal the rest of the day. I am so so grateful that all he got into was Ibuprofen because there are so many worse meds he could have grabbed from our cabinet! We now have a medicine cabinet lock on the door so this never happens again!!
He LOVES otterpops! He would eat a whole box of them a day if I let him. This otterpop got all over the place and he was a mess! So sticky and covered in grape juice. Yuck!
