Russ Work Wall

Russ' work office is just about completely decorated. At least until he adds more and more Jordan's to his wall, since "you could never have enough of them," he says. He has added a fresh coat of paint and new artwork of the Utah Utes football stadium recently. I am glad he is creating a space that he loves since he spends so much of his time there.

Kids

Eating cinnamon rolls for General Conference

It has been an incredibly long winter this year! We have had SO much snow and moisture! One day, Hallie told me to go look out my bedroom window (on the 2nd floor) to see what she "and Brooks" wrote me. "I LOVE U." It was the sweetest note that made my whole day!

I saw this quote online this month and thought it perfectly stated how I feel as a Mother. I love my kids so much it hurts!
Stockton and Hallie have a special bond. Taco feels safe with Hallie and it is so cute to watch her mother on him at times!

Brooks

I think we have a little basketball lover on our hands! He wears a jersey almost every day and has adopted some of Russ' jerseys as his own. His little left-handed shot is the cutest thing ever. He often refuses to practice on a hoop small enough for him and wants us to raise it to the 10 ft. height. All of his pictures he draws in school are of him and his friend, Griffey, and a basketball hoop. He is our kid that could nap pretty much everyday and anywhere and if we are in the car around 3-4 PM you can bet that Brooks will fall asleep. He takes things literally and lies about whatever like no ones business. He just makes stories up all the time and then tells people them as if they really happened. He has such a sweet and innocent side to him that I absolutely adore.

Brooks Soccer

Brooks decided he wanted to give it another go with soccer. We signed him up with a few of his neighbor friends and it turns out that everyone except for the coach lived in our neighborhood. It was fun to know everyone! Brooks has made HUGE strides this year! His confidence has grown and he is learning what it is like to be nervous about things but continue to move forward anyways. On the way to one of his games Brooks told me, "Mom, I want to play soccer but my stomach is telling me I don't want to play." It melted my heart to hear him describe worry and anxiety so perfectly and made me so proud of him for doing things that make him that scare him just a little.

His first game was a success! Not only did he get on the field with no tears but he is one of the best on his team. It helps that his team is made up of 3-5 year olds and he is one of the oldest of them but still. He is running and kicking and wanting the ball and looks at us with a thumbs up about fifty times during the game to make sure we are watching him. It is so fun to watch him be happy, be excited for and participate in soccer.

Classic Brooks. Running with his hands in his pockets.

Stockton

Cute Taco loves to put lotion on his body. I even find him grabbing shampoo from the tub and putting that on his body. Haha. He loves hitting balls with a bat and is surprisingly good at it. He will toss himself the ball and swing and hit it. It's impressive.

Hurricane Camping

Our first camping trip of the year is in the books! We escaped the cold and went down south to Hurricane to camp. We did a lot of bike riding and exploring. Stockton was absolutely filthy by the end and I continued to baby Rosie while she recovers from surgery. On the second day, we went and hiked Red Reef Trail. It was so much fun! Since there has been so much water this winter/year there were streams and water in places that would normally be dry. The kids found a nature-made rock slide that led to a pool area that the kids could've played in for hours. It was definitely the highlight of the trip. Next time we will have to wear our swimsuits on this hike!
