Kiddos

I sure love my kiddos!! They use up all my energy and patience but they also fill my heart with immense love and joy! I wouldn't want to spend my time doing anything else then being with them.

When Stockton wakes up from his naps, often times Hallie and Brooks ask to "go get him." They play with him in his crib until I go and get him. They all seem to like it and I like that it buys me another 5 minutes to finish up whatever I was doing. 

I love that I am a safe place for my kids. That they relax and fall asleep in my arms. It is one of the best things about being a mom!

Brooks grabbed onto Stockton's hand as they were both falling asleep while I rocked them. Sweetest little moment!

It is safe to safe that both Brooks and Hallie are completely obsessed with Stockton. I can't tell you how many times a day I say, "Leave the baby alone!" They just can't resist the urge to touch him, squeeze him, kiss him and hug him. I can't blame them. I do that too.

Kidstopia

We have this fun indoor playground near our house that we haven't ever been to. It opened during the heat of covid and I just never felt comfortable sending my kids there with all the potential germs and crowds. But during this Christmas break I thought it would be fun to have our kids go and do something they've wanted to do for a long time. Stockton was napping so Russ took Hallie and Brooks. Hallie had a blast! She found some neighbor friends that were there and could have played all day if we let her. Brooks was more hesitant and wanted Russ to squeeze through little kid areas and follow him around everywhere. 

Brooks

Brooks is our little lover. He loves to be loved and he loves to give love. He's quite chill and easygoing. He idolizes Russ and often asks when he will be big enough to wear daddy's pants and shirts. He is quite a timid boy and has some anxious tendencies. Hopefully he'll find his confidence soon. He has the best laugh in the world and he is sweet to his core. He's the middle child everyone would want and I'm just so grateful to be his mom!

He still naps and if he doesn't he is beyond tired around 6PM. He can fall asleep pretty much anywhere. He loves his burp cloths, needs at least 2 of them to sleep with, and takes about 1.5-2 hours naps daily!

Nickle Christmas

Unfortunately I missed most of Christmas at the Nickle house this year. Stockton was sleeping at home and took a crazy long nap so I stayed home with him and Russ went with the older kids. When he finally woke up I went over to my mom's house to celebrate and Brooks said he was feeling sick, probably from all the junk he has ate the past several days, and so Russ took him home. I hated that my family was separated for most of Christmas.

Brooks got a car (no surprise there) and Hallie got some art things (also no surprise). I wasn't there so the pictures aren't the best. My parents got some inheritance money from the recent passing of my Grandma Nickle. They generously gave each family some of that money, $2,000. It was very nice of them! We've talked about doing a family vacation with that money but we will see how we choose to spend that down the road.

A new blow dryer. My current dryer is so old and smells like burning every time I use it. I'll be glad to use a new one so I know I won't set on fire anytime soon. 

I had this custom watch band made for Russ. It connects to his Apple watch. The lettering goes against his wrist so no one will see it but he will know it is there. I was excited to give him this one!
