Kids

I guess I only got one photo of the kids together this month. Brooks giving Taco a piggyback ride. Pretty cute though!

Brooks

Congrats on being the "top pick" on your Riverton baseball team, bud! He has natural talent at baseball, especially with being a left-hander. If he just practiced, he could be really good.

Crazy hair day! Wanted '6-7' on the sides of his head.

Brooks loves doing reading with Mrs. Donna. She is sooo great with him and tailors his sessions to what he is interested in, basketball.

Leprechaun Russ

Russ gets some ridiculous stuff from Amazon vine at times. He got this leprechaun outfit and while I was at work, he sent me a video of him doing an Irish jig in this outfit. It was hilarious!

17 years!

Happy anniversary! 17 years feels like forever. I can't be that old to have been married for that long. Haha! We've had good days and bad days but we continue to choose each other and I am so grateful for our commitment to each other. We have created a wonderful life together with 3 beautiful babies!

Russ wrote me a sweet card, gave me flowers (those orchids lived for like 4 months!), and gave me a wearable blanket "skirt" to wear around the house. I gave him a card and made our wedding video into a digital copy book that we can look at anytime we want without having to watch the "dvd" version of it (we don't even own a DVD player anymore. Haha!) I loved watching the kids gather around Russ to watch some of the video.

We went out to an Italian restaurant with the Naylors and ended the night at Handels for ice cream. On our actual anniversary, we left the boys in charge with Hallie and went to dinner (Edna's) and dessert with just the two of us. Emily Belle Freeman sat right next to us (she and David Butler have literally changed me and grown my testimony of Jesus) but I was too scared to say hi to her. Haha!

I recently cut back my hours at work and am now working only one shift a week (Tuesday's). It was a choice that made Russ' work life much better and it was better for my kids. I was grateful to have my anniversary off and spend it with Russ because I no longer work Thursday's.

Happy Birthday, Taco!

Happy Birthday, Taco! He started his day with a decorated door and presents! He got some more basketball cards, a new card case, tee popper, baseball sticky gloves, steph curry blanket, monster trucks, and some of his favorite treats.

After going to school, we went to The Big Green Playground with his two best friends, Oslo and Brooks. We played as long as they wanted and had ice cream there before going home. We ended the night with a bike ride around the neighborhood. I think he had a really great day!

Stockton is fiesty, defiant, stubborn and determined. He isn't going to do anything he doesn't want to do and he will straight up tell you "No" if he doesn't want to do it. He wears his shoes on the wrong feet daily and when I tell him that he replies, "It doesn't matter." He loves playing with his older siblings and thinks their friends are his as well. If Brooks is doing it you can better well assume that Taco is doing it as well. He loves anything with sugar but I couldn't tell you what his favorite food/meal is because he doesn't eat much. He is a bottomless pit when it comes to eating candy or ice cream. He loves milk but it has to be out of a sippy cup otherwise he won't drink it. He grinds his teeth at night (his 4 front upper teeth are all flattened) and I wonder if it is from his airway issues he had as a baby?! He has a strong and opinionated personality. He looks up to Brooks and Russ so much and I constantly remind them to be good examples to Taco because he idolizes their every move. He is naturally athletic and has a fantastic baseball swing without even being coached on it. He even loads up on his back leg before swinging to get power. I mean who does that naturally?! His dimples melt me every day. I could look at his smile all day long. I've started a new thing where I told him I want 1 hug a day, 1 kiss and 1 "I love you" everyday. Sometimes he does it, sometimes he doesn't. I love watching him run. He dangles one arm down and one arm is actually doing the "pumping" to help him run. He also moves his hips back and forth as he runs. Its hard to describe but it is pretty funny and cute to watch. He can be sooooo sweet and cute and soooo naughty and mean. Hopefully, with time, he will realize that being really sweet is the best way to be happy. I love you Taco baby! I will forever be grateful to be your mom!
