Lockers Project

My Christmas present is still a work in progress. Russ works on it sparingly when he has time. The bottom doors now function so I have all of the kid's shoes in there. That has definitely helped with some of the clutter by the garage door. It will be so nice to have when it is completely finished though.

Jr Jazz

Brooks' love for basketball runs deep! He practices outside anytime he can. Its rare if a day goes by where he doesn't go outside and shoot some hoops. He has developed quite the calf muscles from all his basketball practice.

He loved doing Jr. Jazz. He became more confident and aggressive as the season went on. His coach called him a "stud!" He even tried to do a pump fake during one game to throw off his opponent. I about died laughing when he did that.

Jensen's Farewell

Jensen has been called to the Newport Beach California mission! He will be learning Spanish and starts the MTC tomorrow.  After 1 week of at-home MTC he will fly to Mexico city and do the remaining 5 weeks of MTC there.

Today was his farewell. I am so proud of him and his decision to serve a mission. I know it will change his world for the better. He is such a cute and good kid and we will sure miss him. Especially Brooks. Brooks calls Jensen his "Dad" because he loves him so much. Best of luck Elder Smith! We will be praying for you and cheering you on!

Happy Birthday Brooks!

I can't believe my baby boy is SIX!!! He is the sweetest little kid when he is by himself but get him with his siblings and he causes trouble. I love his raspy voice and his missing tooth smile. He has tender feelings and has the best wide arm, chicken arm run. He idolizes his Dad and loves basketball. He asks what basketball games are on TV the second Russ comes home from work. He requested one thing for his birthday which is a hulk costume that has "puffy muscles." He occasionally works out with me and sometimes I catch him checking out his muscles in the mirror. He loves having his shirt off and sleeps in just his underwear. He loves Nike high-tops and basically never takes them off. I have to remind him all the time to take his shoes off in the house. He is on a lying kick where he lies about basically everything. He makes up stories. He lies that I told him he could do something when I didn't. Hopefully this phase ends soon. His favorite meal is steak and fish.

For his birthday party, Russ told Brooks that he would give him $100 to play arcade games if he didn't have a friend birthday party. And that sealed the deal.

We opened presents in the morning. We gave him his requested hulk costume, a kid smart watch, markers and puff Cheetos. He requested crepes for breakfast. Then, we went and played arcade games. After games we got Little Ceasars pizza for lunch. That evening we went and saw Wonka at the movie theaters and ended the night with dinner at McDonalds. It was a day full of celebrating him and doing whatever he wanted to do. We sure love you, Brooks! Happy Birthday!
