I guess I only took one picture of the kiddos together this month and apparently the picture I got has half of Hallie's head cut off. I think this pregnancy has taken my brain away from me completely. But man do I love these kids! They are best buds and Brooks asks when we can go pick up Hallie from school pretty much all morning.

Brooks
Oh Brooksie boy, you are such a perfect addition to our family! He brings so much joy and happiness to our household. I love listening to his cute, raspy/hoarse voice piece together words. His language is really coming along well. I love when he says, "I no yike it" instead of "I don't like it." It is so cute. I hope he never says it correctly. He still naps about 2 hours in the afternoon and sleeps from 8-8 in the night. He has zero interest in being potty trained and is obsessed with cars! He would eat 10 Popsicles a day if I let him and he loves to snuggle and play outside and go for walks. He has an appetite like his daddy and wants to be eating/snacking on something all the time. Not having a binky anymore hasn't been an issue for him at all. He loves his burp cloths, has to sleep with 2 of them, and plays with the tags of the burp cloths as he falls asleep. I couldn't love this boy anymore!
Gender Check!
It's a BOY!!!!!! So crazy that I thought it was a boy even before we got pregnant and then it really is a boy. Our ultrasound tech was awesome. She took so many pictures and let us look at the baby for a long time. We got a couple profile pictures first before finding out the gender. It is nice that baby is actually not face down on my bladder like my other two babies were. As she was moving the doppler thing we could see that baby's hand was covering its private area and she said, "How much do you want to bet its a boy?" We laughed and she pushed a little on my belly to get the baby to move and sure enough it was a boy! No doubt about it. It was very obvious, He was very proud and showed us many times that he was a boy. So exciting!!!!
His heart rate was in the 150's and she questioned me on if I was right on my dates because she said he "looks big." Although he is still a skinny little thing with no fat on him, she said he is long and measuring one week ahead.
It was such a special and neat moment. Although no one could see it, because we had to wear masks the whole time, I was grinning from ear to ear and getting teary just looking at my little baby. I love him so much already and I just want to be done being pregnant and have him here right now.
We plan to tell our families in a few weeks at Halloween parties and will tell Hallie when we figure out a fun way to share the news.

Hallie
Hallie is like the energizer bunny and pretty much never runs out of energy! She wants to play and be entertained all day long. She is happiest when she is playing with her friends, usually the neighborhood kids. She begs for a play date with some friend everyday. She is incredibly smart and learns how to do new things quickly. After only a few weeks of having her skateboard, she was learning how to go pretty quickly, stir and keep her balance. I still can't even do that! She gets a long with everyone and can play somewhat rough with the boys or can play pretend and enjoy the girly things as well. She is a perfect balance of everything! She is a picky eater and sometimes I swear she goes days without eating much. She started piano lessons this month (taught by her grandma, Gigi) and it will be fun to watch her grow in that aspect of her life. Besides school and now piano, all of her other activities (gymnastics and soccer) are still cancelled due to COVID. I love this girl to pieces and she is the perfect older sibling to have in our family!
She has wanted to do a lemonade stand for quite sometime but I've just never had the motivation to get it all set up with her. Luckily, another mom, during a play date with Hallie, wanted to do it.

16 Weeks!
I have just continued to feel better and better since my last entry. It is so nice to start to function as myself again. I have to throw up pretty much every morning, first thing when I wake up. Maybe once or twice a week I throw up in the evening as well but the Zofran usually helps me to not throw up at night. I am having to take the Zofran less and less though and I am starting to be able to actually eat dinner as well. I am returning to eat things that were in my pre-pregnancy diet (I haven't been able to eat toast and milk in the morning until now) and I'm excited to return to my normal diet. I have gained a total of 10 lbs this pregnancy so far and am exclusively wearing maternity clothes. There was a lady in my neighborhood giving away maternity clothes for FREE and I got a crap ton of cute maternity clothes from her. It was awesome! I feel my best in the morning after 10 AM. I continue to feel good until about 2 or 3 and then I need to take a nap. The evenings are usually alright but never as good as my mornings are.
I have thought I have felt the baby move just these past few days but then again I'm not sure. It doesn't really feel like a flutter and more of an actual punch or something so I'm sure I'm not feeling it yet.
We find out what we are having on Tuesday!!!! I have always thought we were having a boy, even before I got pregnant. In fact, we have only discussed boy names because I have been pretty confident that it is a boy. But now I am second guessing myself. Maybe it is a girl?!? I don't know. Russ thinks it is a boy because he "believes in mothers intuition and trusts I am right." We will see. I'm excited and nervous all at the same time to find out what we are having!
**The other day I had a dream about what we were having. My dreams have been pretty vivid lately. The dream was that we were on vacation in Bear Lake with all of Russ' family. I said something snotty to Brett, Russ's brother, and he got mad and punched me in the stomach. Everyone became upset with him, for obvious reasons, and then we became worried about the baby. So, we decided it would be best to go to a hospital to make sure the baby was okay. We went to some podunk hospital to check on the baby. While we were there, we found out that baby was just fine and they asked if we wanted to find out what we were having. They did an ultrasound and sure enough, without a doubt, it was a boy! Let's just say he was very proud he was a boy and it was very easy to see. Haha! We will see if this dream comes true or not. **

New car!
We got a new car!! Its a 2018 Chevy Traverse and I really like it. If I could have kept my Ford Edge forever I would have but we needed a third row and some more space for when our 3rd child comes! It has bucket seats in the middle and 3 seats in the back row. It should be perfect for our growing family.
This car was at a dealership in South Ogden. We went up there just to test drive it but liked the car so much we decided to talk numbers with the sales guy. Come to find out they brought the price down to what we wanted to pay and also gave us what we wanted for trade-in value for our Edge. So, we pulled the trigger. It drives really smoothly and although I still miss some features that my Edge provided I think I will end up really liking it. So grateful to Russ for working so hard for our family so that we can afford a new car like this.

Basement Progress
We got our drywall delivered today to finish our 4th bedroom upstairs and our basement!! It is pretty exciting that we are to this point in this project. The place we got our drywall from wouldn't bring it into our house for us so we had them put it in our garage. This makes it so we have to park our cars in the driveway until we can move the drywall ourselves. I hate having my brand new car out in the open at night, especially because we have had a lot of car break-ins in our neighborhood lately, but it is what it is. Maybe we will cruise through this portion of the project so that our cars won't have to be out in the open for too long.
**It was only a few weeks that we had to park both our cars outside. First, I was able to move my car in the garage and eventually we moved Russ' truck in. The drywall wasn't finished in a few weeks, we mainly just moved the sheets from the garage down into our basement, but it was nice to have our garage back as soon as we did. Drywall took about 6 weeks or so for us to complete in the basement!
