Hallie

I don't know how I could live my life without Hallie! She was the hardest baby but man I'm so glad she is my oldest. She is so mature and smart for her age. I rely on her a lot with helping me with her brothers. The list of good qualities that she possesses is endless. I love my Hallie-o!

She randomly is claiming she has "sensitive ears" and is bringing headphones to wear during school. She says she only wears them when her classmates get really loud. I asked if another student/friend does this and that is what gave her the idea but she said no.

This month, Brooks got sick with a fever for like 1 day and then was better. The next day Hallie got a fever. I figured it was what Brooks had but she ended up fevering on and off for like 5-6 days. She also had a cough and just didn't feel well at all. I finally took her to my work and sure enough she had Influenza A. I ended up getting sick the day after she tested positive and I was miserable too. I've never once called Russ home early from work due to being sick but I did this time. I had the worst body aches, like it hurt to even lay there, and I got a fever. I haven't fevered in probably 20 years! Anywho, we had quite the sick household this month.
A note Hallie wrote to me! I love how she wrote "Stocko Taco." We often call him that but it was still funny!

Brooks

Cute little Brooksie boy! He is at that stage where he wants to test my limits and his boundaries. He goes through moments where he chooses not to listen, bullies Stockton or does things he knows he is not supposed to. But on the other hand he is just a genuinely happy kid who is obsessed with Russ and trucks, trailers and hats.

Brooks is Russ' meat eating buddy!

Poor kid is terrified of car washes! This is him when we went through one.
Do you think he has enough cars? Haha!

It is nice that Brooks still naps for about 1.5 hours everyday!
Cute little feet!
Sometimes I wonder where kids get certain ideas from. Here he is wearing our oven mats on his feet as shoes!

Kids

Oh my heavens I LOVE my kids!! I feel so incredibly blessed to be their mama. I am so lucky to have gotten pregnant 3 times to deliver these 3 amazing kids! I could go on and on about all the good qualities in each of them. I am so proud of who they are and who they are becoming. I love to be their safe place and give all my love to them. I hope they never question my love for them.

Russ brought home Mario Kart on the Nintendo 64 for the kids to play. Hallie is obsessed with it, which is no surprise. She is obsessed with any screen time she gets. Brooks loves to play but needs help from Russ. They both ask to play pretty much every night.
Hallie is such a great helper with Stockton. Yes she touches him and picks him up and annoys him more then she needs to but sometimes he just lets her hold him and you can tell he feels safe with her.
Snuggling my boys will never get old!

We have had some sickness in our household this month. Stockty just wanted to be held for the few days he was sick. He isn't overly snuggly so this is when you know he isn't feeling well. Sweet boy!

Basement Progress

This month we put shiplap on behind the shelves. I love the way it turned out! I am so impressed with everything Russ has done. It looks professionally done! I love the added charm and detail the shiplap adds.

Jazz Game

For my dad's birthday this month we all went in on a gift to get my dad Jazz tickets. For the most part I genuinely enjoy being with my siblings and dad. We had a great time together, well at least I did. Although the Jazz lost and our seats were way up in the nosebleeds it was fun. I hope we do it again!

Birthday Celebration!

We celebrated Stockton's birthday on Sunday with both sides of grandparents. Due to Grandpa Tate's funeral this weekend, Keaton and Brett and Jess were in town so they came to the party as well. It was fun to have them over!

The theme of the party was Mr. ONEderful! I thought the decorations and cake turned out great. Stockton was spoiled with cute gifts from his grandparents. His favorites were any ones with balls. He didn't seem to devour his cupcake but didn't seem to hate it either. He seemed indifferent to it all. But man he is cute and we loved celebrating him today! I can't believe my baby is ONE!!

Unfortunately Hallie was sick during the party so we had her wear a mask. Later on in the week we found out she actually had Influenza. Poor girl!

Grandma and Grandpa Nicklee. Brooks sure loves his "Stanley."

Oh Stockton boy! You are an angel and so sweet!

Happy Anniversary!

Happy 13 years to Russ and I! I can't believe it has been that long. It has flown by! We had some fun plans planned for tonight, including a date to Ruth's Chris with our good friends (Scott & Brielle). But, Becky's dad (Grandpa Tate) passed away earlier this week and the funeral just so happened to be today. Joe and Becky were the ones that were going to watch our kiddos. And my parents couldn't. So, we didn't get to go out. It was a bummer!

Hallie and Brooks woke up sick the day of the funeral so Russ went alone and I stayed home with the kids. The funeral lasted most of the day. Russ got home about 4 PM and we got takeout (Olive Garden) for dinner.

Russ woke up early and got kneaders breakfast for the two of us and then gave me some flowers. I'm pretty sure I gave Russ some pants but I cannot for the life of me remember if that really happened or not (I'm 2 months behind in my blogging).

Regardless I sure love Russ and I absolutely love our life together! We have created something magical and I'm so lucky he is the one I get to have by my side forever!

Happy Birthday Stockton!!

I can't believe a whole year has come and gone since we had Stockton! I can't imagine our lives without Stockton in it. He was always meant to be apart of our family and I feel more and more complete with him in it. This year has been difficult for Russ and therefore me but I sure have loved having Stockton as a baby! I wish he could stay little forever! He is so sweet and I can never kiss him enough! Happy happy birthday baby Stockton! You are loved beyond words!

12 Months Stats:
Weight: 20 lbs. 14 oz. (43rd percentile)
Height: 30" (55th percentile)
Head Circumference: 18.7" (86th percentile)

At 12 Months Stockton:
- Wears 12 month clothes, size 3 diapers

- Is called  Stocko, Stockty, Stacko taco, Stockers, and Stockt.

- Walks!! He started taking 5-6 steps around 11.5 months. I love watching his toes clinch the ground as he tries to keep his balance.
- Can steer the walker
- Gives kisses but will only lend you his forehead to kiss and not his lips. Haha!
- Is SO busy and into everything!!

He loves "walking" my blow dryer around the house by dragging it by the cord. He knows where I keep it and goes directly for it every time we are in my bathroom!

He crawled under Brooks' bed slates but then couldn't get out. Haha!

- Has 3 bottles a day of breastmilk straight from the fridge. My milk STILL hasn't quite dried up! I only feed him or pump like once a week and that is because I am so uncomfortable that I have to relieve myself. But my milk still keeps coming back!

I love how he rests his hand inside my shirt while nursing!

- Eats solids 3 times a day. He loves yogurt, chicken nuggets, teether crackers, bananas, and peaches. I don't know if he necessarily eats a ton of food but he will at least try everything we give him.

- Naps 2 times a day. His 2nd nap is either really quick and it's difficult to transfer him to his crib or he will nap for over an hour. He likes to keep us on our toes, I guess!

I love how he curls up to me and lays on my chest while he falls asleep!

- Loves his siblings and you can just tell that he wants to be a big kid so bad already!

Feeling so left out watching Brooks and Hallie play in the backyard.

Stealing sucker licks from his siblings!

- Sleeps from 830-8 AM. Half of the week he sleeps soundly through the night. The other half of the week he wakes up once wanting us to sleep in his room and put our hands through the slates to touch him. He has definitely been my worst sleeper!

With him newly walking his forehead is full of bumps and cuts and bruises of different stages of healing!

- Loves to sleep on his belly with his knees and arms tucked in and his bum in the air. It's so cute!

- He is starting to have a thing for his burp cloth and loves to sleep with his Ollie stuffed animal. It is funny because both Hallie and Brooks loved their burp cloths too, but I introduced them to them while they slept as a way to soothe them. I didn't do this with Stockton yet he still took a liking to them and now wants to sleep with one every night.
- Loves playing in our Cozy Coupe car. It's massive and stored in our family room, which I hate, but I can't bring myself to put it in the basement (or get rid of it) due to his love for it! He often gets in it and Brooks or Hallie will push him around and he loves it!

- Got what I think was Influenza this month. He didn't feel well for a few days and was sick the day he went in for his 12 month check up so we didn't give him his vaccines. A few days after I had Hallie tested and she was positive for Influenza so I assume that is what Stockton had as well. Luckily his sickness only lasted a few days!

- Loves playing with our vacuum! Anytime I am trying to vacuum he is trying to take it away from me so he can play with it. Sometimes when he is fussy/whiny I get the vacuum out just to make him happy!

- Loves being outside and loves our swing set! We have been loving the hints of warmer weather this month and can't wait for spring to officially get here.

Cutest little toes on our family walk!

- Isn't an overly snuggly baby but I sure love the times he does want to snuggle!

Bath time!
