It seems to be a yearly tradition, usually around Hallie's birthday, that we (and by we I mean Russ and the kids and usually Rosie finds her way in there too) set up a tent in our backyard, watch a movie and have sleepover. I stayed for the movie and popcorn and then made my way to my own bed to sleep the rest of the night. We watched KPop Demon Hunters, which is all the rave right now. The songs are catchy but I thought the cartoon was pretty dumb. My kids loved it though.

New Truck
Russ went out and bought himself a new truck. His current truck (black) stresses him out. He feels like it is "going to breakdown any minute." It has some issues: the back bed doesn't open without the key fob, the driver side door doesn't unlock after being locked, and I'm sure there are some other issues too. He feels like the truck is going to "blow up" when tow our trailer. These problems have stressed Russ out. I did know this but I didn't know he was talking to dealers and was planning to get a truck this weekend. Needless to say, we had a very big argument over this. It isn't necessarily the fact that he got a new truck. It was more about how we went about getting a new truck. He didn't tell me how serious or how far into the process he was into getting the truck. For such a big purchase, I didn't feel like we were on the same page at all and it felt like he didn't care whether we were on the same page or not. In the end, he traded in his truck and got a brand new 2025 F150. He is very happy with the truck. It took me several weeks to get over my frustration. After our initial argument, Russ realized he was in the wrong and handled it poorly. Not sure if he just said that because he got what he wanted in the end anyways or if he really understood how disrespectful it was. But I didn't bring up my grudge again and with time I forgot about it. The new truck is very nice and I'm sure we will be very happy with it as a family.

Hallie
Hallie has had a busy month with all things soccer. Soccer tournaments, regular season soccer games, a friendly juggling competition with one of her teammates (Ady), front row RSL tickets and evening practices. I love her passion for soccer and love her teammates so much!

Swimming
Shelli has been taking the kids swimming about once a week when she watches them. They absolutely love it and I love that they are out doing something fun while I am at work. Brooks is getting more daring with the diving board and it is fun to watch him develop some confidence.
Kids
Hallie and Brooks sent Russ and I on a "scavenger hunt" around the house. There were prizes in the end for us both. Russ got a homemade metal out of clay and I got a dog, that kinda looks like Rosie, out of clay. It was cute!
Hallie and Brooks sleep in our room every single night. Brooks at least starts in his own room but Hallie doesn't even attempt to sleep in her own room. At times, it frustrates us but I do find it sweet that Russ and I make them feel safe.

Brooks
This month's photos of Brooks. He loves taking my phone and recording videos of himself. He pretends to have his own "youtube channel" and usually starts the video saying, "What's up guys...." and is out playing basketball or something. Haha! He has always had a concerning mole on his head. Only because it is large in size but it isn't changing. We figured to just get it checked out for peace of mind. We went to the dermatologist and everything was normal. Phew!
