Kids

Our kids are getting big and so much fun! They all mostly play well with each other mingled with fighting and calling each other "butt cheek face" or yelling "You're the worst brother ever!" every once in awhile. This month, Russ gave away ALL of our baby clothes and items. It makes me a little sad to think about it all being gone. Its like I have waited all my life to have kids and within a blink of an eye that part of my life is over. Russ truly can't have anymore kids though. He still hasn't gotten over his depression that worsened after having Stockton. I feel like with each kid it has just gotten worse. I'm not sure really why that is but it has, and he would say so himself as well. But, I do love all 3 of my babies so much! They couldn't be any cuter if they tried and I love watching them grow and learn.

Date Night!

For Brielle's birthday this month, we went to dinner and an escape room. We got sushi for dinner. I tried my first ever veggie sushi roll tonight. It was delicious and made me feel like I was actually eating what everyone else was eating for once. Haha! The escape room was super fun and with several prompts from the worker, we escaped! We sure love these guys and feel so lucky they moved into our neighborhood so many years ago!

Brooks

Brooks is such a sweet little guy on his own but he likes to cause a lot of commotion when he is with his siblings. He is still trying to gain his independence and basically never listens to anything we say. In fact, he does the exact opposite of what we say. He is obsessed with basketball, watching sports on TV with Russ, Lebron James and tattoos. He colors (aka scribbles) on his arms a lot saying that they are tattoos. He told me the other day that if he is going to play for the Utah Jazz then he will have to have tattoos. I then had to point out several NBA basketball players who are on the Jazz that DON'T have tattoos. Haha!

This month he rolled down the hill at Hallie's soccer practice and landed in dog poop. As expected, he did not like that! Ha! He also went to a Utah football game with Russ. School is going so well for him and he has no troubles going.

New Park

Our neighborhood built a new park that we ventured to this evening. The kids loved riding their bikes on the bike track and playing at the park. It isn't too far from our house and we enjoyed the night together.

Stockton

Oh Taco baby you are one cute boy! He is as stubborn as they come and doesn't like to do anything he doesn't want to do. In fact, he has a scowl on his face most of the day because he is forced to do something he doesn't want. He also has some rage and yells, bites and throws toys at his siblings when he is angry. He loves monster trucks and his milk and burp cloths. He is a major fan of Daddy and chooses him every night to put him to bed. He is in the stage where he lines everything up in a line and makes so many messes because of it. He wants to be big just like his older siblings. I finally think is black eye from May has officially gone away. I can't believe how long he had a black eye for. It has to be a record! He has been fighting his naps as of late which is a real bummer but he so desperately needs them still. He is quite the monster in the evening hours when he doesn't get a nap in.

We went in for his 2.5 year visit this month. He is growing well but there is still some slight concern with his language. His doctor thinks that around 3 he will finally just start talking and picking up in that department. In the meantime we will continue to do speech therapy to give him all the opportunities he needs to succeed in that category.

2.5 year stats:
Weight: 31.7 lbs. (69th percentile)
Height: 36.2"

Hallie

Hallie is NINE!!! I can't believe it! She is getting so old and reminds me that she is a "tween" all the time. Whatever that means. She is such a beautiful and talented girl. We really lucked out in the kid department with her. She is the perfect mix of sporty and girly. She can be rough and tough with her brothers but is just naturally beautiful with the cutest face and smile. She is so smart and is absolutely killing it in 3rd grade so far. In fact, the below picture is an email from her teacher just expressing how awesome she is. She is the smartest in her class and she knows it. She still sleeps on her floor in a tiny PJ mask couch that is way too small for her. She decides she doesn't like a food that she has loved prior to all the time. Recently, she has decided she doesn't like melted cheese. Like what? She begs for "huggles" every night before bed which is basically just a long hug. She loves to read and is really good at it. She loves playing soccer and loves her teammates and coach. She seems to get a long with everyone really well, except for maybe her brothers. Ha! She is blessed with all the good characteristics and truly she can do anything she sets her mind to do. We love her so much!

She is such a trooper and allowed Russ and I to go on a little getaway over her birthday weekend. For the record, I was not for it. And still to this day I feel bad about it but both Russ and Hallie didn't care all that much. We celebrated her birthday early and then had a friend birthday party when we came back.

9 year old stats:
Weight: 60 lbs. (36th percentile)
Height: 51.9" (roughly 30% as well)

Texas

We went on a quick getaway with some of our best friends to Texas! The main reason for the getaway was to go to the Utah vs. Baylor game. We jammed as much as we could in during those 2.5 days. The first night we went to a Texas Rangers baseball game. The next day we woke up super early and drove 1.5 hours to Waco, Texas (the home of Chip and Joanna Gaines). They are an HGTV famous couple that built a place called Magnolia. We ate at Joanna Gaines' restaurant. It was yummy, nothing to die for but still good.

After breakfast we went to Magnolia. It was cool to see a place you've seen on TV in real life, as I really like to watch HGTV when I do get a free minute. But the city of Waco is a complete dive outside of Magnolia and the prices were crazy outrageous in Magnolia. It was fun to see but I wouldn't go again.

The Utah game was awesome! And crazy hot!! I couldn't believe how hot it got. Luckily our seats were in the shade otherwise I think we would have legit died. Haha! The stadium ran out of water. The temp was 110 degrees and I was sweating like I had just done a workout. Like sweat was dripping off my body. Utah started out crappy but ended up winning the game with a sweet comeback.

After the Utah game we came back and had lunch/dinner in Magnolia. There were several food trucks around. After eating we made the trip back to our hotel. We were able to rest for about 30 mins before we headed to the biggest honky tonk bar in Texas (or so they advertise). The place was huge though! And there were so many people there. We watched a concert (or part of a concert. We left early) of some random guy. It just turns out that I don't really feel like myself when I am around drinking and big crowds. Its just not my favorite vibe. We were tired from the long day in the sun and so we left after being there for only 1.5 hours. We got to sleep in the next day and then left for the airport to come home! I wish we would have stayed one more day but we had a great time with our good friends nonetheless.
