Coronavirus

Having the world locked down and not being allowed to do or go anywhere has been super weird. Initially I thought the days seemed long with nothing to do but now we've all adjusted and I don't mind the isolation as much. Hallie has finally stopped asking to play with friends (poor girl) and we've gotten used to playing at home all day. I really have enjoyed having Russ work from home. I like that he is just in the other room and that he gets to each lunch and dinner with us everyday. He doesn't necessarily love working from home, but there are no plans, as of now, for him to go back into the office anytime soon.

Coronavirus cases and deaths rise everyday. New York has been hit so hard. They have so many dead bodies that the mortuaries can't even keep up. So sad! It is anticipated that Coronavirus will peak in the next month. Utah, for the most part, has been awesome at social distancing and slowing the spread of the illness. Everyone wears masks when they do go out. I was at the grocery store and people won't even go down the same isle as someone else because we all want to keep our distance from everyone. It is crazy! Coronavirus quite honestly causes some anxiety for me but I'm choosing to have faith in Gods plan.

Being a nurse, I of course go into work every week to help take care of sick kiddos. We are required to have our temperature checked before our shift begins. We wear masks when we are in contact with patients and if we know someone is a respiratory patient or has any symptoms of COVID then we have to wear a special mask with goggles or a face shield and gloves. You can feel that anxiety has heightened for everyone in the office. No one technically wants to work but as a healthcare worker, that is kinda what you signed up for when you decided to work in the medical field.
There have been SO many funny memes floating around the internet. This is one I thought was funny (and so true)!
This is a pic I took from one of the doctors setting up beds and supplies at the Expo Center in Sandy. They are anticipating that the hospitals will be so overwhelmed with COVID patients that they won't have enough rooms/beds to take care of everyone; therefore, we have an "makeshift" hospital to help over care. I really hope we don't get to the point when we need to use this!
 Another funny meme! :)

Hallie

Hallie is really such a good and sweet little girl! She is so smart and I'm just so proud to be her mom!

A selfie she took of herself!
She's into this new thing where she has to sleep with a baby towel and have the hood over her head while she sleeps. Silly girl!
A homemade "kite" she made to go fly out in our backyard. This girl certainly doesn't lack in the creativity department!
One day, she asked if I would put a bow in her head and if she could wear lip gloss on her lips. She then said, "I look pretty mom. Take a picture of me." She then proceeded to pose like this. Haha!
As for another creative thing she did. She was running through the sprinklers but decided she wanted a snack. So, she got out an umbrella, flipped the slide over to made a "chair" and had a snack in the middle of the grass without getting wet. She's a cutie!

Facetiming her cousin Elsa during the quarantine. They thought it was so funny to do filters on the camera and put funny images on their heads and faces.

Hallie is so stinking smart! We did an experiment where we made a rainbow out of skittles and warm water. Hallie then decided she wanted to try and do it with another candy, starburst jelly beans. Russ and I told her that we didn't think it would work as the shell on the jelly beans isn't the same as the shell on a skittle. Hallie, with confidence, said "No, it will work." Although I'm not really sure she knew it would work but being the stubborn little girl she is she wanted to prove us wrong. And she did! The jelly beans made a rainbow just like the skittles did. Good job sticking to your guns, Hallie!
From the Vine, we got a bunch of kids fake tattoos. Russ decided to make an arm sleeve out of tattoos for Hallie. She loved it and I thought it was pretty funny!

Russ was working outside and mentioned that he was hungry. Hallie then went inside and made him this PB sandwich and told him it was his "lucky" day because a special someone made him some lunch. Little cutie!

Brooks

Brooks is such an easy-going, mellow, happy boy! He LOVES his cars and plays with them for hours every day. He plays quite independently and also plays really well with Hallie. He continues to love to snuggle and it is my favorite thing! He still naps for about 2-2.5 hours every day and never fights going to bed. He still takes a binky and I fear we will never get him off of a binky.

Also, this month we moved him into a "big boy bed" and took down his crib!! Hallie has taught him how to climb out of his crib and although he hasn't fallen out of his crib yet I am sure it is only a matter of time before he slips and falls. He transitioned amazingly to a big boy bed and it didn't even seem to phase him. He sleeps soundly through the nights from the first night on and continues to take long naps during the day. Way to go buddy boy!

Sleeping with his stuffed animals and football
Russ hasn't enjoyed working from home. Me and the kids, however, love it! Brooks, unfortunately, colored all over Russ' expensive calculator. Russ was not happy about this. Luckily, it all came off without problem.

 My little superhero
Russ feels really claustrophobic and trapped working in our master bedroom all day. So, we take family walks almost every night, whether it is cold or not.

 Love my snuggle buddy!
 Lining up all his cars!

Setting up his daybed we bought him. Unfortunately, with his room situation we had to get a daybed. It isn't my favorite ever but it will do.
All set up!
Man he's cute and that smile of his just melts me!

He lined up all of his cars under the couch. See next picture to see. Silly boy!

My kiddies!

We have the cutest kids around!! They are both perfect in every way! They play and entertain each other so well. They really are good little buddies. They both know how to perfectly pester the other but they genuinely love being together too. I love them more than I even have the words to say!

Dressed in their "workout" clothes to work out with mommy! Hallie dressed Brooks all by herself by putting on one of her workout shorts on him. Haha!
My favorite superheros who truly save me everyday by letting me be their mommy!
  Another workout day!
 Snuggling up before naptime!
 Eating breakfast in the backyard
They truly are perfect little angels!

Russ is wearing some glasses that supposedly help when you stare at a computer all day long
