Hallie

Hallie had quite the fun month this month. From several celebrations of her birthday to losing another tooth to having a professional soccer player, Brecken Mozingo, come to her teams practice and train them. It was a busy month for her!

Hallie's favorite friend, Sadie. So grateful soccer lead them to each other as they would have never crossed paths otherwise.

Parker's, Hallie's coach, mom was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. The team wore pink in honor of her at their game.

Kids

My heart is full of love for my kiddos! So grateful to be their mama. This month, while on a date, Russ and I came home to find Brooks sleeping with Stockton in his bed. They woke up when we opened the door to come remove Brooks. Haha. We also went to dinner with the Naylor's, drove up the canyon to see the changing leaves and threw rocks into a little stream.

Brooks

I am so proud of Brooks and how he is handling all day school. It is a big jump from kindergarten to 1st grade and he is doing awesome! He is above grade level on everything and genuinely seems to like learning Spanish too. He still does reading tutoring 2x/week mainly to just give him the confidence he should have because he is learning to read great! He got spotlighted at school this month and we had fun making a poster together for it. He loves to draw basketball hoops or him with big muscles. Haha!

He went to a Utah football game with Russ this month. He had a great time and a great attitude during the very hot game. Of course popcorn always helps too. Haha!

He has the cutest little freckles on his nose and I just couldn't love him more!

Lagoon

For Brielle's birthday, she wanted to go to Lagoon/Frightmares. She has mentioned wanting to do this for years and we finally made it happen this time! I took a dose of dramamine beforehand and I was good to go. I didn't get sick at all although big drops are not my favorite and give me anxiety. Every time before the rides I'd tell them that I hated being there and then after the first drop I'd be screaming my head off in fun. Haha! We did one haunted house that was supposedly the scariest one there but it wasn't all that scary, just a little jumpy is all. We stayed until the park closed and then went to In and Out for shakes and fries afterwards. I sure love the Naylor's so much!

Pretending we were dead in the coffin.

Ky Work Kuddos

I really truly love my job working at Primary Children's. I love my coworkers. I love my department. I feel like I do my job well and am challenging myself. I just feel like I am doing something I am proud about doing and that is satisfying. Working 2 days a week has been a great balance for me and our family. Here are some recent kuddos and nominations I received. The nominations are the annual awards our department gives (it was Harry Potter themed, hence the names of the awards).

Date Night

We convinced Hallie to be "in charge" after we put the boys to bed tonight. We told her we would pay her $20 and she could stay up 30 mins later then normal and after some hesitation she accepted. She wants to save money for a large lego set. Russ and I went to sweet rolled tacos for dessert and then decided to walk to the movie theater and eat popcorn as well. Not sure how many people actually purchase popcorn to then not go to a movie at the theater but that is exactly what we did. We enjoyed our popcorn outside in the beautiful weather. It was a fun little escape for us!

Color Run

Brooks insisted we went to their school's color run tonight. Sadly, Taco got a bloody nose within minutes of being there. He seems to get bloody noses semi often and he freaks when he does. It's a whole ordeal when he gets one. Hallie and Brooks had a blast running around with their school friends and getting completely dirty. I made them walk home with Russ afterwards because there was no way they were getting in our brand new car with all that chalk! We hosed them off in the backyard and then took showers after that.

Stockton

We sure love our fiesty, stubborn, cutest smile, screen/tv loving, wanna be big kid, monster truck loving boy. His speech is coming along SO well and we are so proud of his hard work. I feel like I am having to interpret for him less and less. He refuses to take any naps but will nap in the car within seconds if it is around nap time. He loves riding his bike and being outside. He loves treats and I swear eats nothing but treats if I'm not constantly watching him. He often says, "Hey Mom. Take a picture of me." And then I proceed to do just that and then he says, "Let me see it." Haha. He has chosen to be Chase, from Paw Patrol, for Halloween and absolutely loves his costume. I very easily could have seen him get his costume he chose and then hate it and never wear it, so I'm glad he loves it. He is one of those kids that just has to make up his own mind on things. He is obsessed with Russ and hates if I have to put him to bed or if I am the one that goes into his room if he wakes up at night. He will kick and scream for Russ. He is Mr. Independent and Mr. Persistent and doesn't take no for an answer. I usually have to threaten time out or "locking him in his room" before he even thinks about listening to my instruction. He plays so well on his own while his siblings are at school but asks multiple times a day when they are coming home. We are verrrryyyyy slowly working on potty training. I know it is time but I just don't feel like I have the mental space to do it. So, we are taking it one step at a time. We will master peeing and then eventually will push pooping in the toilet. The day I decided we were going to do no more diapers he threw a fit for hours and hours. This kid just doesn't let up. Eventually he accepted wearing underwear and has very little potty accidents ever since. He has really done awesome at peeing in the toilet. For now, he will ask us for a diaper to poop in but he keeps him underwear clean and dry so I'll take it. Way to go, buddy!
